Abstract
For my senior seminar class, my final project included doing an analysis on my favorite piece of media. For this, I choice Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. As a viewer of the media it is important to understand the messages it gives us, as it shapes our views on the world. I looked into this piece of popular culture and did a holistic analysis on a range of media theories and perspectives. This includes a political economy and production analysis, textual analysis, and an audience analysis with a focus group.
