Includes why and where Irish emigrants settled in Connecticut, the jobs they held, conflicts that arose between the Yankees and the Irish newcomers, and individual stories of some of the Famine Irish in Connecticut. Illustrated with Famine drawings from newspapers and periodicals of the 1840s and 1850s.
