Abstract
Chapter 2.3 "Media Literacy in eating Disorder Treatment" is part of the larger, Chapter 2 "Media Effects" in the book "Race/Gender/Class/Media, 3/E." In this chapter Bindig makes the argument that media literacy should be an important aspect of the treatment for eating disorders. The contents of this chapter articulates and tests curriculum for this goal. Ludwig describes her three-prong media literacy intervention called education-recognition-activism (ERA)
