Abstract

Identification numbers are found everywhere and used to catalog, sort, and track many different things. Each identification number has a corresponding check digit scheme that is used to catch as many possible errors when the number is transmitted. While there are many different types of errors, we will be discussing two of the most common errors in this paper and how efficient some schemes are in catching these errors.
