Abstract

CLABSIs, or central line-associated bloodstream infections, have become a serious concern in the hospital setting. CLABSIs occur when bacteria enter the bloodstream through a central venous catheter, yet they are preventable with the proper interventions. The purpose of this project is to identify evidence-based interventions in the prevention of CLABSI to improve patient outcomes.
