Highlights include: On the halftime show of ABC’s broadcast of #1 Florida State vs. #2 Miami, Sacred Heart University was featured on the halftime segment called “Quick Hits.” The 20 second feature told of Sacred Heart’s first year football team winning five straight games, going for it’s sixth in a row --The Adopt-a-School program currently enrolls twelve SHU students for college credit. SHU has chosen to “adopt” the John Winthrop school in Bridgeport --"Great American Smokeout" held at SHU --Feature on Tom Kelly, Director of Student Activities --The Polish Cultural Events Committee presents Grudka Ziemi: Song of a Beloved Country, a one time performance created by Piotr Gzowski, and Andrzej Anweiler, both SHU professors --Faculty Art Exhibit 91, featuring works by Ruth Baxter, Robert Cuccinello, Jack deGrattenreid, Ted Gutswa, Judith Randall, Lori Winkles and Virginia Zic --AIDS Forum hosted by the Athletic department and featured two speakers, Sr. Aime-Louise Nadeau and Dr. Sica.
