Highlights include: Fresh Check Day is a day dedicated to raising awareness about depression and suicide across college campuses --New undergraduate major in Global Studies --Blackboard, WebAdvisor, and SHUsquare --Rob Gilmore shakes up 63’s as “Celebrity Chef" --SHU Spotlight Showcase gives students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to perform their own original pieces, covers, or poetry This event was founded by media studies professor Gregory Golda --SHU welcomed comedian Geoff Keith in the University Commons on September 25 --Tennis team opened up their season over the weekend of Sept. 20 at the Hofstra Invitational with a result of 14-14 --Women's golf finished fifth out of 15 at the Navy Women’s Invitational at the Naval Academy Golf Course --Players of the week: Mary Altepeter (field hockey) and J. D. Roussel (football).
