Carson selected 1996 commencement speaker --Matt Fortney, a sophomore media studies major from Westbury, N.Y., has been appointed SHU radio station co-manager along with WHRT veteran Kristen Lalla --SHU recognized in Sports Illustrated for its sports enhancement since 1990 --Faculty Senate: More involvement needed --Editorials: FLIK has dropped the ball in providing decent dining services to students; Not enough parking at SHU! --Fugees and the Violent Femmes will be at SHU: Hip hop meets folk rock -- Students, professors and professional actors performed Arthur Miller’s The Crucible --Library staff Dave Walsh handles interlibrary loans, fixes machines, and is a student majoring in media studies --After graduating Gregg Madigan intends to pursue a career in professional baseball. If that doesn’t work out, he may try other options in Europe --Chuck Chiodo excels as lax triumphs over Queens College and Marist --Softball freshman catcher Carrie Kuprycz from Barre, Mass., avoids the tag and slides safely in for a run (photo).
