Abstract

The Asian crisis began in the middle of 1997 when the world equity markets sold off in the wake of an attack on the Hong Kong dollars. On October 24, 1997, a 10.4% plunge in the Hang Seng Index was experienced. The objective of this paper is to analyze why the economic crisis came about and its impact to small business foreign investors.
