Abstract

Highlights Include: A new appointment of Alison Flaum as director of Campus Security and Public Safety inspires positive changes to campus safety and include implementation of programs like a nighttime escort service, crime prevention, and risk assessment. A new law enacted by President Bush would mean that Sacred Heart must release college crime statistics in the years to come. Memberships for the health and wellness center at the Jewish Community Center will be given to Sacred Heart Students at a discounted price. Students have a chance to offer their opinions about segregated areas for smokers, the current political climate, and voting. Sonia Mikolic-Torreira, president of SHU's Spanish club is interviewed. The losses of Sacred Heart's women's volleyball, baseball and football are chronicled with the hope for more wins from SHU in the future.
