Abstract
Elementary curriculum is something that will never remain stagnant. New methods of teaching concepts to students are constantly being implemented to accommodate different types of learners, including visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners. This study aims to explain the benefits on child development of the implementation of a dance education into elementary curriculum. It will be analyzing the ways in which dance has positive impact on a child’s physical capabilities, and psychological/ emotional states. A dance education is extremely multidisciplinary and exposes children to a wide-range range of concepts that can lead to further inquiry. Exposing children to a dance education at a young age allows students to adapt many life skills that can be carried throughout their lives.
