Abstract
The story begins from the third person perspective of a pen. In writing from this perspective, I’ve framed the piece. The first and last half take place in the present day with Eva Grieco, the main protagonist, speaking to the pen (her granddaughter). By shifting perspectives, readers can easily follow the jump in time.
