Abstract
A four-day instructional school week will allow teachers to become more effective educators and empower students to be creative and explore their interests. In the United States, education is the second most awarded Masters degree, yet there is a nationwide teacher shortage. A four day school week should not be implemented with the intention of cutting costs, rather it should be implemented to further develop student learning and improve careers in education.
