Abstract
This is a digital humanities project created with the Department of Languages and Literature with the collected works of senior English capstone students on the archives of Gloria Naylor. This is a cross-disciplinary project that highlights Naylor's relationship with Sacred Heart University through her honorary degree, her friendship with Dr. Michelle Loris, and her decision to donate her archives to the university's library. Our site features select papers from Dr. Loris' senior English capstone class in which students studied Naylor's novels and conducted archival research after attending the Gloria Naylor Conference, "With a Pen in Her Hand: Communities in Gloria Naylor's Fiction and Archives" at Sacred Heart in October of 2023.
