Abstract

The article explores the impact of cyberschooling to social networking in students in the United States. It discusses the undertaking of an online school to address the social aspect of the experience of students through social networking and describes the cyber charter schools' growth trends in the country. A brief description of Odyssey Charter High School (OCHS) is indicated and its social networking development leading to the closed virtual space development is traced. The social network's academic uses by teachers and students are also discussed.
