Abstract
Teachers of drama practise their art within the context of a highly technologised and dramatised society. Long before they enter our classroom doors, the students we teach will have witness innumerable dramatisations. The subject of drama must include space to explore modes of response. This is especially important in today's mass media world, best achieved by engaging students in a wide repertoire of dramatic dorms, styles and multicultural traditions while making sure they have access to several models for critique.
