Abstract
Set in the Zagros Mountains of southwest Iran, this film follows a nomadic group of Bakhtiari people, providing cultural insights into the challenges of educating the children, while safeguarding the heritage of this ancient Persian culture.“The Bakhtiari Alphabet” was created over the course of 7 years. During that time Dr. Sedigh lived with the nomadic tribe anywhere from a few weeks to a few months each year, studying their geography, history, economy, politics and culture.
