Abstract
As editor of International Journal of Play Therapy (IJPT), it is an honor to have the opportunity to introduce the January 2021 special issue of IJPT as well as introduce readers to our new editorial staff members. In 2016, for the 25th anniversary of the journal, four special issues were published. Each provided readers with a compilation of articles related to specific topics and populations, and each was beneficial to the Association for Play Therapy’s membership, universities, and play therapy researchers and writers. These issues were successful and reached a wide audience. Following the success of the 2016 special issues and as a celebration of the 30th anniversary of IJPT, the January 2021 special issue, “Play Therapy and the Treatment of Trauma,” kicks off four special issues.
