The Hartford Courant is the oldest published newspaper in the US, tracing back to 1764. Thomas Green, a fourth-generation printer published the first issue of the Connecticut Courant on October 29, 1764, later becoming the Hartford Courant. The Courant celebrated its 250th anniversary in 2014.
