Abstract

Green Latitudes presents a map to places where identity, desire, joy, and fatherhood might exist in a world that can be hostile to all of these things. In his debut collection, Rick Magee explores the places that shaped him and the places that scarred him while he searches for the places that can restore him. The poems arise from specific landscapes and small moments, standing as tiny signposts to navigate a path to peace and acceptance.
