Abstract
Implementation of an electronic health record (EHR) has great potential to improve quality of care that paper medical records cannot provide. An EHR can offer many benefits for clinicians and their patients and provide functions that are not available without the technology in place. The reasons to convert from paper records to EHRs are many.
