Description
Born In Hartford, Hannah Bunce Watson became the first woman editor in Connecticut and one of the first in America when her husband died. As a widow, she inherited the Connecticut Courant (now called the Hartford Courant) and became editor from 1777-1779. Hannah is a member of the Connecticut Journalism Hall of Fame and the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame.
