Abstract
We are in a world of cultural climate change. Aside from the pandemic which has surrounded us, we are in a period highlighted by divisiveness, in which people don't talk to each other, but talk past each other, and in which extremes and extremists are given voice, while moderates are few and far between. Terms like polarization, censorship, and cancel culture have become mainstream, and educators and those who do the work of media literacy education and social justices are suddenly at odd with societal wishes.
