Nurse practitioners are in the perfect position to find ways to link primary care and public health to improve population health across the globe.The NP/DNP is poised to take on a leadership role in assessing population health, designing interventions to improve community and poulation health, evaluating health outcomes of those interventions and outcomes, and implementing changes to improve programs.
