Abstract
Limited research examines the types of outdoor leisure that women like to do and the specific impact of fear for safety on their engagement in and enjoyment of outdoor leisure occupations.

Student research project for Pi Theta Students at Sacred Heart University 2017.
We are investigating the impact of fear for one's safety on the outdoor leisure occupations of women age 18-65. This is an ongoing project completed with students that has included 2 small studies using qualitative methods and 3 studies using survey.
