Abstract
The article provides an overview of metabolic syndrome (MetS) and the benefits of resistance training (RT) in controlling it. It defines MetS as cardiovascular diseases such as coronary artery disease and heart attack. Criteria for MetS identified persons include high blood pressure, blood glucose, and low high-density lipoproteins (HDL). It also explains the role of RT in the management of the disease.
