Abstract
Highlights: Governor Ella T. Grasso, the recipient of a University honorary doctoral degree in 1972, greeted President Kidera during a visit to SHU as part of her successful 1974 Campaign swing throughout the state (photo) --Sharing a memory of the late Dr. William H. Conley, founding president of Sacred Heart University, before the dedication of a memorial collection of books in his name in the University library are Richard A. Matzek, librarian, Mrs. Conley, and the Most Rev. Walter W. Curtis, Bishop of Bridgeport (photo) --Men’s Varsity Basketball Team, based on its early December performance, appeared to be a near certainty for a postseason NCAA Tournament bid with a 6-1 record --Girls’ Basketball varsity squad was started this year under the guidance of former Kaybestos Brakette star Mickey Stratton --Bios and photos of the SHU Board of Trustees.
