Abstract

Highlights include: The new student government will consist of several branches with different duties, ranging from financial responsibilities to senate meetings for dealing with political issues on campus. The changes are not occurring without resistance, however, mainly because many Student Government members dislike the way the administration handled the change --Cultural Diversity Day kicks off Black History Month --The Ross Review: All student events have now been restricted to campus --A moral epidemic: Homophobia / by Rev. Thorne, SHU chaplain --New political science 'fraternity' tackles social issues --Report on SHU road trip to the Clinton inauguration --AIDS quilt warms hearts on state tour --Senior sweeper Allan Zuniga became the fourth Sacred Heart University soccer player to earn Division II All America honors --Peter Downey, whose rich background in hockey includes lengthy coaching assignments at Yale and Trinity College, has been appointed SHU's first hockey coach.
