Highlights include: Daniel Shim, professor of Economics and Accounting at SHU, organized a trip to Sikorsky for his cost accounting class --Many SHU students participate in the mentor program at Winthrop Elementary in Bridgeport --Under the leadership of Marvin McNeill SHU Marching Band took first collegiate place at New York City’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade last year --Faculty members Richard McKinnon, Carol Batt and Edward Malin add their voices to the mostly student Chorus, directed by Leland Roberts --‘Music Man’ comes to SHU Center for Performing Arts --Art Gallery: Faculty show opens --SHU will celebrate the 25th anniversary of women’s athletics on campus at its annual Alumni Day program on Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999 --Women’s ice hockey team improved record to 3-0-1 this weekend with wins over Amherst College and the University of Southern Maine: Senior Captain Sarah Hanna contributed a pair of goals as did Jenn Frank --Pioneer women's basketball leaps to top of NECC with wins (photo) --Sacred Heart’s freshman high jumper Gaetano Marra led the indoor track team to a victory at the CTC Indoor Relay Carnival.
