Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is making its way through the modern world, but not everyone is as welcoming of it. The purpose of this poster will be to find how AI has been used in the healthcare field, how the field may progress if AI is more widely embraced throughout the field, and debunking common public perceptions that may be keeping AI from achieving its full potential. Research shows that major benefits of AI in the healthcare field include increased diagnostic accuracy, increased surgical precision, and possibly in the nearby future, increasing prescription adherence rates.
