Abstract
Worshipping through music is a huge part of Christianity. Worship is done through music to bring people closer to God, and help teach about the faith. There have been many changes to the styles of music used to worship. In the 16th century chants in Latin tongues were used to spread God's word. As the times changed so did the language used. Chants changes to psalms which in more recent years have progressed into hymns. In an even more recent time music has been brought into a service of its own called Praise and Worship in order to draw in the youth.
