Abstract
Currently, Yale New Haven Hospital does not have a protocol implemented to promote awareness towards a patient who has had a fetal demise. We have created a protocol that can be implemented at YNHH to bring greater awareness and communication among healthcare professionals about a patient who has had a fetal demise. This must be implemented so that all HCPs working with the woman and/or couple can be aware of their loss prior to entering the patient's room. In order to do this, we have created symbolized signs to place outside the patient's room so that anyone entering will be aware of the fetal demise.
