Abstract
NIL stands for name, image, and likeness and it is the new law that allows college athletes to monetize these three things.
The NCAA now allows states to decide whether or not student athletes can receive compensation. The new law is called NIL.
Negative impacts from the new NIL deals far outweigh the positives that have come from them.
