Abstract
Health care disciplines, including nursing, are expected to conduct research to advance the scientific body of knowledge and provide care based on evidence-based practice. Over the years, the violation of human rights along with advances in science and technology has led to the development of codes of conduct, policy statements, and ethical guidelines to influence the ethics of research.
