Abstract
The article provides an overview of stroke and the potential benefits endurance training and resistance training can have for improving physical health and function in medically stable stroke survivors. Topics include program recommendations for clients who are medically cleared stroke survivors, guidelines for pre-exercise evaluation of stroke survivors, considerations for aerobic exercise training, and resistance training exercise goals and recommendations.
