Abstract
Religion and spirituality have demonstrated connections to positive outcomes for nurses. Religion and spirituality are positively connected to resilience and a proven protective factor against compassion fatigue and nursing burnout. This information should be used to incorporate spirituality and religion into interventions to support nurses and decrease their emotional load.
