Abstract
Supervised Injection Facilities (SIFs) are a place where individuals who use drugs can go to safely inject drugs. SIFs seek to reduce harm and negative consequences to drug users. They are ethical and provide individuals with autonomy that is lost. Worldwide there are 177 supervised injection facilities. The United States currently has minimal SIFs due to legal constraints.
