Description
William Frisbee opened the Frisbie Pie Company in 1871 in Bridgeport. Students from Yale would throw the empty tins to each other. Warren Franscioni and Walter Frederick Morrison invented a plastic version called the 'Flying Saucer.' In 1955, and Morrison then made an improved model and sold it to the toy company Wham-O. The modern frisbee design was patented in 1967 by Ed Headrick.
